This Mexico native, a graduate of the University of Texas and FIT, started his own business in 1991. He won the CFDA’s Perry Ellis award for new fashion talent in 1995. In 1998, he showed his first Milan collection, produced in association with Gilmar. In 2000, he and Gilmar introduced the less expensive Vic collection. Alfaro currently designs Victor by Victor Alfaro, a collection exclusive to The Bon Ton Stores. He is also founder of the website Vista Art and Design, a marketplace for acquiring and researching quality design objects and art.
